Tumblr exploded yesterday with spoilers. Among them, the news that Roy and Kory hooked up.
At first I was like…
…the hell?
But then I was…
I mean, Roy and Kory are long-time friends and they both like having sex so it wouldn’t be that outrageous that they did some lovemaking. Kind of weird and bizarre but not too terrible.
Aaaaand then I read some more spoilers and apparently Kory has this weird alien Tamaranian thing where she sees humans as “smells and sounds” or something and has a short attention span and memory and claims to not remember ANY of the other Titans AKA her closest friends and companions for years at all and I was like…
Oh my X’hal Kory WHAT DID THE BAD MAN DO TO YOU?!
Kory who is so passionate and emotionally honest and loves her friends dearly is now apathetic and bored when someone tries talking about them? Is this an act? Is this amnesia? Is this her new characterization? Is this what you meant, Scott Lobdell, when you said you’d be exploring more of Kory’s “alien” side?!
I can’t. I just can’t even.
And to think I’d been looking forward to this book.
